Tooltech flies high at Aero India 2009- Designs and delivers luxury interior solution for VVIP Helicopter

Aero India 2009 (a premier aerospace exhibition in Asia) marked a very significant milestone in the history of Tooltech-a pioneer in the outsourced engineering services sector. One of the five Advanced Light Helicopters to be procured by the Ecuadorian Government from HAL, which was showcased at this show sported world class interiors, VVIP design, plush aesthetics, customized colors and carpeting -All conceived and manufactured by Tooltech.

The project, arguably the first of its kind for the design and manufacture of VVIP interiors for an Advanced Light Helicopter meant that Tooltech had to build to meet stringent standards. Amongst various operational and structural specifications, the solution developed by Tooltech meets FAR 29 standards & DGCA certification.

On the third day of the exhibition - 13th February 2009, the Helicopter was presented to the President of Ecuador at an official 'handing over' ceremony attended by senior dignitaries such as the Ambassador of Ecuador and other high ranking government officials. Tooltech received appreciation from the press and popular local TV channels not only for its immaculate work but also for the stringent standards that it adhered to and the short time frame of 45 days, in which the project was delivered. "Tooltech is proud of indigenously conceiving and designing the interiors of a VVIP helicopter for a foreign government. This landmark achievement not only opens new avenues in civilian applications for a military aircraft, but also makes us a new player in the vast international market currently dominated by few select players" said Atul Khanna, Director and Chief Promoter-Tooltech Group.

A Senior Official from HAL stated, "Tooltech taking charge of the project end to end from concept design to final delivery of interiors for the Ecuador helicopter has been a great effort! Successful project delivery by Tooltech in just 45 days from order receipt shows great capabilities within Tooltech and its abilities in Programme Management."

BMW Visit to Tooltech Strengthens Existing Relationship

The BMW team is suitably impressed with Tooltech on its visit to the Pune office.

Tooltech recently had the pleasure of receiving the BMW team at its Pune office. BMW had come here to understand Tooltech's project implementation procedures. The 11 member team included Senior Design Management, Head of Strategic Purchasing and Technical Experts from several departments in BMW.

The engineering protocols and knowledge management procedure adopted at Tooltech earned great respect from BMW. The global engineering platform showcased not only what Tooltech does, but also how it prepares to tackle process problems. Tooltech's CAE work evoked a spontaneous "We are impressed!" from the visitors. The Tooltech-BMW partnership is now poised for growth to the next level of maturity.
